Guess you finally got some of that drama you were craving from your childhood? Your books sound WONDERFUL! I would love to win one! I've never been to New Orleans, but the setting sounds perfect for a crime novel. Again, I'm thrilled you are better and are writing! God Bless! Moving the series into post-Katrina was a decision the storm really made for me--while it made me rethink some of the things I had planned for the characters and plot lines, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I think the third book taking place during Katrina is going to add so much to the series, as well as the nightmare that came after, not only in terms of personal lives, but as far as how things changed as far as prosecution and police work. Thanks again!Holli Castillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15976235735822063166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8577144322916822926.post-87605948912901367582013-11-12T10:23:18.111-05:002013-11-12T10:23:18.111-05:00Holli, I've been seeing your name everywhere l...Holli, I've been seeing your name everywhere lately. I imagine reading a pre-Katrina book and then one post-Katrina in the same series would be something of an eye-opener on how the storm affected people, so I'm glad you kept them as originally planned. I look forward to adding this series to my "mysteries read" pile. T...Eilene and Grandmareads, thanks for joining us. Tonya, I have family in Lafayette. In fact, my cousin and her father, my uncle, lived in Lafayette with their families and both passed away from different forms of cancer around Christmas last year. We visit as much as we can, so we're familiar with the area. What is even sadder is that my cousin had finished writing an excellent vampire young adult novel before she died but never got on to the next step of getting it published, so I am going to work on editing it for her and then help her husband to get it put on Kindle. She was a high school English teacher and I think it would go a long way to helping her students heal if they could read her book.
