I don’t know if anyone else feels this
way but I love the feeling I get when I take down my old calendar and put up
the calendar for the New Year. A fresh start with so many possibilities in the
days to come! No resolutions for me; just goals and plans.
This week's post is about looking
back and looking forward - because this week we say good-bye to 2018 and we
welcome 2019.
2018 has been a monumental year for
me. I finished writing Secrets in Storyville and
self-published the book. A first for me! And the book itself is the first in a
new series.
With what I’d learned I went on to self-publish
the second editions of all five of my Malone mysteries, editing and
reformatting the manuscripts and creating new covers, covers I absolutely love
because each one symbolizes the story.
So, what are my writing plans/goals
for 2019?
Well, I’m already in the early
plotting stages for Murder at Maple Ridge, the second book in my
small town mystery series, and I’m starting to get excited about writing it.
Since I'm a "book a year" writer, my goal is to release it in 2019.
What are your 2018/2019 accomplishments and plans?
Happy New Year!
I can't wait to read your newest addition to the small town series, so get busy. :) In 2018 I released "One Adventure Too Many," and I started a new book. I had some heartbreak and losses, but I had blessings, too. I look forward to 2019 and all that it holds. Great post, Pat!
ReplyDeleteThank you! For me, a new year means a clean slate, a fresh start and endless possibilities. Here's to a fantastic 2019!
DeleteYou've had quite a year, Pat. It had to be a lot of work redoing your other novels and releasing a new book, too. Can't wait to read the 2nd book in your new series. Wishing you great book sales in 2019. Hope it will be your best writing year.
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right, Evelyn. It was quite a job! But, so worth it.
DeleteI hope 2019 is your best writing year too!
Thanks for asking, so I can officially commit in writing! Finalllllllly! finish The Caretakers. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThat's right, Madeline. You have to finish the book because we have it in writing. LOL
DeleteHappy New Year to you too!
I released Murder in Thistlecross and The Worst Noel. I'm planning to release four more in 2019 if all goes as planned. Congratulations on your success and hard work, Pat! I'm excited to read Murder at Maple Ridge! Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteFour more? Wow! It's all I can handle to write a book a year. LOL Since I love your writing, I'm looking forward to reading them all.
DeleteHappy New Year to you too!
